Freeing yourself from your financial giants

What are your financial giants in your life? Is it your debt? Consistent late payments? Poor credit score? or simply just not a big fan of taking control of your financial life. Whether you are single or married, young or old, if you do not get your financial house in order, it would only harm you down the line.

Overcome your fears
Sometimes we are embarrassed about our finances, and as a result, we shy away from seeking financial help. But if you have been living under water for so long, it may be time to seek professional help that is needed. I know, you may feel uneasy about a total stranger reviewing your financial history, but if you don’t have the knowledge or know how, you will only continue to find yourself in a financial downward spiral.

Think about it, you would seek a doctor’s health for a medical issue – so why not seek financial counseling for your finances? You’ve been doing by yourself already, so consider trying a new method!

Apply damage control
In the meantime, don’t make the problem worse. Place spending to a halt and leave the plastic at home. Repent if you need to, making a vow to never fall victim again. Don’t fall for the advertisements or commit another obligation to your “already obligated paycheck.” Be smart and decide this day forward – no matter how long it will take – you will turn your financial situation around!

If you first don’t succeed
Hey no one is perfect, we all fall down! But it is staying down that makes you vulnerable. If you fall victim to your financial giants, get back up to only slay them again! Listen, if you have been in financial bondage for years, it will take more than one good decision to get yourself out. Be patient with yourself, knowing that persistence and commitment will pay off.
